To those hording notes be careful lest you become a cautionary tale such as this lad: https://www.news18.com/news/buzz/and...s-3462791.html (1 lakh = 100,000 so 500,000 INR, or about €5,555)

While we don't have termites here mice and rats will happily eat and shred (for bedding) paper such as currency and I suspect wasps would happily chew it up to make a nest.

Some people could even break in and wipe their arses with it aswell.

I was charged €50 for lodging 20 notes.
    To count 20 notes €50
    Never again, that's ridiculous.
Banks are worse than escorts for their charges
Hmm. A lady I know well and spent a couple of nights with told me she couldn’t take higher than €200 notes because banks in Spain wouldn’t accept them above €200. I thought I had done great having come up with the €500s for convenience. That sure burst my bubble.

Chanel ones, yes!!! Let's just say if I had been paying in €500 notes I wouldn't have gotten much change if I had handed over three of them!!! But in my defence I had been drooling over these sunglasses for years, and I think it's just an Irish mammy thing, youd get the best of anything for any of your family (I'm looking forward to bringing my Mum to Foxford Wollen Mills this Saturday and treating her to whatever she wants thank you to my wonderful clients for allowing me to be able to do this) but when it comes to spending on ourselves you just feel guilty!!!

Do you know that when the euro was initially introduced ed the €50s were different to what they are now? I know a guy who went into AIB to lodge a very large amount of these old 50s, the machine couldnt count them and the teller went mad because she was going to have to count them herself which I find hilarious coz bank tellers do f all nowadays and probably wont even have a job anymore in a few short years due to technology.

She started demanding "where did you get these?"

"Aragh I sold a few cows" he said

He said there was steam coming out of her ears in temper and he said "right, I'll leave ya to it, I e to ring a man about a Bullock I'll be back to ya in 10 mins, ya should have them counted by then"

And here is me worried i'll break a pair that cost a tenner off a dodgey market stall on holidays

In all seriousness, id often considered a decent pair, nowhere near that decent mind, but yeah, id 100% break them at work.
